You Me At Six (often referred to as YMAS, YMA6, YM@S or YM@6) are an English pop-punk band from Weybridge, Surrey. Their sound has been compared with the likes of Panic! at the Disco and Brand New by NME magazine. Kerrang! magazine described their music as "Catchy melodies, snappy lyrics and hip-wriggling instrumentals."
You Me At Six have toured with Fightstar, Elliot Minor and The Audition. They are due to play at the Give It A Name festival which is sponsored by Kerrang!. They supported Angels & Airwaves on their UK tour in April 2008.
In late 2007, they released their first single "Save It for the Bedroom" and their second single "If I Were in Your Shoes" was released on March 17th 2008. The music video for 'If I Were in Your Shoes' was released on February 15th and is to be put on all major music channels, such as Scuzz, MTV 2 and Fizz. Kerrang! has also previewed the video. Videos for both "If I Were in Your Shoes" and "Save it for the Bedroom" can be viewed now on YouTube and the Kerrang! website.
The band have stated that their album should be released in the summer. Speaking to musicscoop.netabout the forthcoming release Josh Franceschi (vocals) said, "Our album will not be some standard pop punk album, it wonders off into all sorts of realms it shouldn't, but it still sounds like You Me At Six. Just more grown up." "We're really proud of the songs and hope that when it comes out people like it as much as we do."
